Loving it! This chapter was great. Hmmm. I feel like Edward already knows how the lunch/bathroom encounter went. Esme probably called Carlisle or Aro crying to them about it. Can hardly wait to get back home and read a couple of new chapters. Going for two weeks for the holidays and I always go offline while I'm on vacation. Just a rule of mine. I cannot tell you how much I love this story.  I balled my eyes out when Jasper said Alice might have cancer.  They are my family now and you know nothing comes between family!

This review post is more of a response to your author note at the beginning of chapter 23 that you posted here at the end of chapter 22.  And I'll apoligize up front for the length of this reply - I got a little long winded - it happens to me frequently!

I thought Edwards point of view in the club was spot on - no additonal explanations were needed!  And honestly - sometimes men and women LOOK!!!  Even when they are completely in love and devoted to their spouse.  I want to know who has not missed their husband or wife when surrounded by either emotional or physical love when they are not present.

Your story is SO well written and your characters are so HUMAN - we all have our strenghts and weaknesses and you portray BOTH of those so well for your characters that it makes this story incredibly realistic.  NO ONE is 100% perfect and happy all of the time and honestly - the stories that are written that way come across as fake and unlikely to happen.  Your characters are REAL - you have painted an amazing world for them and they are REAL people.  You have all your details so well crafted that you could drop all these characters into real life and no one would think they are imaginary. (And if you figure out how to bring them into the real world can you PLEASE drop Edward and Aro into MY living room?!? Pretty please?)

I'm sorry that you feel like you have to explain anything - this is my favorite fan fiction that I have read - (It might be tied with Quite Storm) - and you have created a story that sucks you in and holds your attention.  I don't know what people are expecting - Edward is a mob boss who owns a freaking strip club.  He might be married with a family now but that's not who he was for a long time and until Bella he never saw himself as capable of being "soft" with anyone.  I see him as almost having a split personality.  Not nessicarily like an actor but more like he has perfected the art of switching off his more violent tendencies as he has matured and him and Bella have grown their family.  It's always there - he just does an amazing job of controling that part of himself.  Until something causes him to snap.  I think he does a better job of keeping that part of himself contained with Bella and his kids but if pushed too far it's going to come out.  That's just who he is.  And that's been apparent since the beginning of QS.  We saw that in one of the first chapters of QS when he "attacked" Bella as she was getting ready to make the drive to Plattsburg to work for him right after Carlisle's wedding.   

So again - I'm sorry that you felt the need to explain or defend YOUR character creations to anyone!  You have created such a wonderful fiction here and it upsets me when anyone reviews picking apart YOUR creation.  Constructive critisism is one thing but it drives me CRAZY when people leave reviews just to complain about something that they may not like or agree with.  Just to do it.  Especially when the author is as talented as you are.  You have created this story from YOUR imagination, have used YOUR OWN free time to write it and write it well, and CHOSEN share it with us here on these fan fiction sites.  You are doing us a favor by sharing.  I don't look at reading fan fiction as doing the authors a favor by reading it - As someone who loves to read I look at it as the authors are doing me a favor by sharing their hard work.  I've left reviews where I've expressed anxiety for things that MAY happen or things that I'm afraid could happen to characters that I love (please don't let Aro get clipped!!!!!) but I have never felt the need to critisize you or any author for that matter for the direction a story is taking or for characters actions or thoughts.  I just don't understand who would want to do that????  Part of the appeal of reading is to get lost in a story that wouldn't normally pop into your own head.  If people don't like the direction a story is going or the way a character acts then they should either quit reading or write their own stories. 

It just really bothers me when I see such talented authors (or any author who is brave and generous enough to post their work) getting their stories and characters ripped apart by people who seem to have nothing better to do than look for something they don't like or agree with and tear it apart. 

You do an amazing job with character development and story telling Lexi.  Please don't let these haters get you down and I hate that you feel the need to defend where you are coming from and why the characters are the way they are and do the things they do.  The answer is - you created ALL of this and anyway you see it playing out is the way it should be.  Because YOU are the author!!!  It's YOURS! 

Sorry this got a little long - it's just been bugging me that you are getting comments and reviews that are making you feel the need to defend what you write and how the characters react in certain situations.  You are generous enough to share your talents with us.  You don't have to - you don't owe any of us anything.  You share because you want to and write because I'm imagining you love it.  That's all that really matters.  I just hope that those who are being so negative don't ruin it for you.  Because I would imagine that the negativity would remove alot of the joy of sharing.  And I would truely miss your creativity if you decided that sharing your work wasn't bringing you happiness anymore. 

So....... GREAT JOB LEXI.  I really appreciate of all of your hard work and your willingness to share your stories.

Happy to see that they are working on Edwards guilt over what he feels was the rape of his wife. He should feel guilt over it. Esme is a definite threat; she is a loose cannon. I knew Edward and Aro would get rid of Tasso for the disrespecting Bella and he was an obvious threat. Where is Lou? Kylie doesn't like him. hehe. Anyway; Keep up the good work. Always excited to check in and see a new chapter posted. Can't wait for the next one.

Woah, now there is so much more going on than I thought. Esme wants Aro to take out Edward? She is more off her rocker than I thought. 

So I am thinking they should not let go what Tasso an Valente were saying to Bella. Where are Tasso and Lou and what are they up too? This story has me completely spellbound. The Blondie chapter helped a lot. I'm guessing Carlisle is going to take care of Esme.

I did not see that coming with Es,  she is more twisted then i thought. Glad Aro is back in the fold or getting there... its not the same when he isnt in the picture. The part with the sit down last chapter where Bella was the "date" fantastic, loved it. Keep the chapters coming, this story is the best!!

Screw your haters you are an AMAZING writer and i think you should keep going. there are unfortunatly people in this world who are jealous and will hate on your work. But in the end, do it to prove them wrong and for the real fans because you have an amazing talent and you shouldnt give it up EVER :)

Holy Shit!  No way about Esme.  Wow!  If she really hired someone to get Candace, she is truly fucked up in the head.  This story line keeps getting better and better.  I really thought it was Caius.  I just don't trust him and am wondering if/when he will go after Edward.  Hmmm...Keep up the great work and keep the chapters coming.  :)
