Contests:

I didn't expect to win anything in the New Moon stage of the Canon Tour, and I was right. :D My entry focused on Charlie and is now posted here, My Impotence. vbfb1 made a great banner for me, too.

I completed The Twilight 25 - Round 5 and have signed up for Round 6. This isn't really a contest - there's no voting or judging - but was a lot of fun - 25 drabbles or oneshots, or a 25-chapter fic, based on picture prompts and word prompts.

What I'm working on now:

I'm continuing to work on I Never: Edward & Bella - chapter 4 is now up! Chapter 5 is started but the second half was giving me some trouble. Some inspiration has struck, though, and I've found that just writing helps things start to flow, so it shouldn't be much longer. I always tease the week before the story posts, and I also tweet about it, so you'll know when it's coming.

The awesome vbfb1 and I are collaborating on a short multichapter slashfic called Different Worlds, which is based on her wonderful banner and will post after we finish it. The first chapter was part of the Fandom Against Famine compilation. We're about halfway done, so keep an eye out if you like Edward/Jasper slash.

I've signed up to donate a oneshot for the Fandom Against Juvenile Diabetes compilation. It's due February 27th, and compilations will go out in March. I'm open to suggestions, so feel free to tweet or PM me if there's something you'd like to see.

I also donated a oneshot to the Fandom Gives Back, and bettigefecht was the lucky winner. She's given me a wonderful assignment, and I'm truly honored she trusts me with it. I don't want to say exactly what it is until I'm closer to posting it. At the moment, it's outlined and I've started writing. Check back here or follow us on twitter for updates.

And I'm working on two stories for the TwiGirlsNextDoor Christmas Crackers. The prompts I received needed more than oneshots, so I've written the first chapters of each; one made the extended deadline and is ready to post, and one is extremely late and is with the beta. They'll be posted here soon. The first is called Unforgotten Kiss, a sweet, romantic Bella/Jasper AH story, and one is called We Three Remain, a very AU fic starring Bella, Carlisle, and Sam in a post-apocalyptic world.

Finally, I adopted a banner from Christag Banners for a Carlisle/Bella pairing called His Muse that sparked a wonderful plot bunny. I've outlined some ideas, but I want to finish Different Worlds and the Crackers before I start seriously on this one. I'm really excited about it, though.

Recent and upcoming posts:

I found myself unable to keep from returning one more time to I Possessed My Lover in the Garden. Seth and Esme are just too cute and sexy to leave alone for long. ;) So I did the outtake for Squeeze My Lemon, called He Feeds Among the Lilies (which is posted as chapter 2), and I did another outtake, picking up where Lilies left off, called Like an Apple Tree, for the Fandom for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society compilation. It's now posted here.

I also donated a story for the Fandom for Texas Wildfire Relief, titled "Inner Fire Rekindled," based on an Albert Schweitzer quote: "In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit." It's a Jasper/Alice canon piece that was an almost spiritual experience to write. It's now posted here.

Finally, I donated to mostlyalurker's compilation. If you haven't heard, she's a friend who can really use our help. Her quality of life will be immensely improved with Leo, an adorable collie service dog who's undergoing training. But the costs are high, and she needed some help. Check out her website to see details. Through the generosity of this wonderful fandom, she was able to raise enough to pay for her expenses, and she just got to meet him for the first time. My submission, called Detente, involves a non-canon vamp couple, a deserted tropical island, hot tempers, and hotter sex. The compilation went out in November, and the story will be posted here the week of February 13.

I'm a married mother of three, until recently working full-time but now looking for work. In case anyone wonders, my name is taken from two cats I used to have--one with a high-pitched meow and one with face markings like a mask. My avatar is a photo of them, although the quality may not be great - it was taken before digital cameras and this is the best I was able to scan. :)
